About

The hand behind the work

I'm Lauren, an artist and historian on the Mendocino coast. My work moves between original goddess paintings, large public murals, and custom garments — held together by a love of ornamental linework, Art Nouveau, and the old Celtic and pagan traditions.

My murals tell community stories: from a twenty-six-panel history of the Ukiah Valley with hundreds of painted portraits, to tributes that reach across the world. I research deeply before I paint, and that research becomes part of the piece.

Originals are one-of-a-kind and offered by inquiry. Prints make the work available more widely. If something speaks to you, reach out.
